The honeymoon period of the experiment is officially over, I
really struggled to reduce my water usage. This week I have just started a plan
to increase my fitness and get myself in better shape, I have been working out
more and directly increasing the amount of showers I have been taking. This new
addition to my lifestyle has definitely had a negative impact on my shower
time. It also didn’t help that my week was packed, I had something on everyday
so I couldn’t use my previous tactic of not showering on a particular day. I
almost went back to my normal water usage rate I only saved on average 11
litres per shower down from my previous 49 litres the week before. Next week is
the start of mid semester break so I am hopeful I will be able to get back on
track as my goal of a 50% savings rate is going down the drain……
